÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š Topic N3 "Business Trips"
Never before in the history of the world have businessmen÷š traveled
so much as they do today. It is not÷š surprising÷š because÷š we÷š are
living in a world of growing international÷š trade÷š and÷š expanding
economic and technical cooperation. Fascinating though it is÷š for
tourist travelling, however, has become the most÷š tiring÷š of÷š all
the occupations for many÷š businessmen÷š and÷š experts.÷š Choosing÷š a
comfortable hotel to stay at is,÷š therefore,÷š a÷š matter÷š of÷š some
importance. There are plently of good hotels, motels,÷š and÷š guest
houses, in the÷š world,÷š conviently÷š located÷š for÷š major÷š business
centers. Many÷š developing÷š countries,÷š such÷š as÷š India,÷š÷š÷š Egypt,
Nigeria,÷š Lybia,÷š etc÷š have÷š excellent÷š hotels.÷š Their÷š÷š numerous
facilities include both: large and small cocktail barber's÷š shops
and conference halls, equipped÷š with÷š simultaneous,÷š multilingual
translation systems. There are parking areas which can accomodate
a lot of cars. It might be useful for travelling businessmen÷š and
tourists to÷š know÷š that÷š tailor÷š shops,÷š shoe÷š repair÷š shops÷š and
laundry, dry cleaning services are available for÷š guests.÷š People
in the office help guests to book train or÷š steamer÷š tickets÷š and
rent a car. They are also ready to give all necessary information.
Nowadays people who go on business mostly travel by air as it÷š is
the fastest means of÷š travelling.÷š Passengers÷š are÷š requested÷š to
arrive÷š at÷š the÷š airport÷š 2÷š hours÷š before÷š departure÷š time÷š÷š÷š on
international flights and an hour on domestic÷š flights÷š as÷š there
must÷š be÷š enough÷š time÷š to÷š complete÷š the÷š÷š÷š necessary÷š÷š÷š airport
formalities. Passengers must register their tickets, weigh in and
register the luggage. Most airlines have at least÷š 2÷š classes÷š of
travel: first class and economy÷š class÷š which÷š is÷š cheaper.÷š Each
passenger of more÷š than÷š 2÷š years÷š of÷š age÷š has÷š a÷š free÷š luggage
allowance.÷š Generally÷š this limit÷š is÷š 20kg÷š for÷š economic÷š class
passenger and 30kg for first class passenger. Excess luggage must
be paid for except for some articles that can be carried free÷š of
charge. Each passenger is given a boarding pass to÷š be÷š shown÷š at
geparture gate and again to÷š the÷š stewardess÷š when÷š boarding÷š the
plane. Watch the electric sign flashes when÷š you÷š are÷š on÷š board,
when the "Fasten Seat Belts" sign goes on do it promptly and also
obey the "No Smoking" signal. Do not forget your personal effects
when leaving the plane.
