÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š Topic N10 ("Holidays, Travel and Tourism")
For most people there is no problem÷š in÷š deciding÷š how÷š they÷š are
going to spend the money they÷š earn - it÷š all÷š goes÷š on÷š housing,
food, clothess, transport and, if they÷š are÷š lucky,÷š leisure÷š and
some holidays. Many of us have÷š spent÷š our÷š lives÷š without÷š doing
anything out of the ordinary and now÷š I÷š have÷š got÷š a÷š marvellous
opportunity of doing something exciting and I will. If I÷š win the
prize of 20,000 dollars, I will spend it in the world round trip.
÷š÷š÷š÷š To travel round the world has long been my÷š dream÷š and÷š with
this sum of money behind me this dream is likely to be÷š realized.
I am going to take a trip round the world. I am going to do a lot
of sight seeing. I am goung to put up÷š at÷š expensive÷š hotels÷š and
spend much money on entertaiment and other exciting things.
÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š My travel experience would begin in New York, known÷š as
one of the÷š world's÷š most÷š modern÷š cities÷š because÷š of÷š its÷š high
buildings and its dynamic spirit. From New York I would cross the
Atlantic Ocean to England. In London I would explore the÷š British
Museum and visit the shops and pubs along King's Road in Chelsea.
My next stop would be Amsterdam, an attractive÷š city÷š because÷š of
its steep narrow houses and canals lined with trees. Flying on to
Coppenhagen I would÷š eat÷š Danish÷š open-faced÷š sandwiches÷š and÷š be
entertainde at night clubs in Tivoli Gardens. Having seen÷š enough
cities by this time I would head South to÷š the÷š Italian÷š Riviera.
Portofino,÷š a÷š handsome÷š fishing÷š village÷š resembling÷š an÷š÷š opera
setting, is one of the most charming vacations sports in÷š Europe.
Of course, a serious traveller÷š could÷š not÷š leave÷š Italy÷š without
visiting Florence, Venice, Naples and Rome, for all these÷š cities
are living museums. Continuing South, I would trace the beginning
of Western civilization. I would make stops in Athens and÷š Cario.
Certainly a chance to see the÷š pyramids÷š should÷š not÷š be÷š missed.
Next, I would fly east to visit the shimmering island of÷š Ceylon.
Here, the traveller finds many precious gems for÷š sale,÷š but÷š the
brightest jewel of all is Ceylon itself. Leaving÷š this÷š island÷š I
would travel to Bangkok, an Oriental city of many÷š charms.÷š Then,
like mane other travellers, I would be drawn to÷š Hong÷š Kong,÷š the
shopper's paradise.
÷š÷š÷š÷š Leaving Asia, I would load my over÷š stuffed÷š suitcase÷š on÷š a
plane bound for Acapulco. In this Mexican resort, I÷š would÷š swim,
sunbathes and eat spicy foods.
÷š÷š÷š÷š At this time it would be necessary÷š to÷š count÷š my÷š remaining
travellers checks.
÷š÷š÷š÷š If a tour of Latin America were still possible, I would want
to stop in Peru, Argentina, Brazil. But by÷š that÷š time÷š mu÷š funds
would probably have run low. So, where would my round÷š the÷š would
trip end? For me there is only one answer:÷š Moscow,÷š the÷š city÷š I
will never tire of calling home.
÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š ÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š÷š
